Description
So many things went wrong with this picture...I messed up both of their hair, so I decided colouring it might make me happy...but it seems like I've forgotten how to colour properly...or the lighting in this room is just awful...either way, Kaz turned out waaaay too tan, and Avila's dress was way too dark..and Kaz wound up with orange hair somehow...it was all just awful. So I had to pull out pencil crayons to go over all the horrible marker mistakes.
Soooo, I have to make up an excuse for the tan, probably being that Kaz has been adventuring for the past while and is just visiting town and saying hi to Avila. Having not been inside most days, a tan has appeared.
I'm bad at making excuses.
I'll colour something better later.
Anyways, Avila was always the bubbly and happy sibling, so she's all "Let me cling to you while you're here" and poor silent Pipsqueak won't say or do anything to stop her.

Hmm, well dismissing the right colors for the characters, I think it looks rather well done. I was drawn into Avlia's face perticularly as the subtle shading in her face looks nice. I always botch shading faces, especially near the nose, so I suppose that's why it sticks out for me. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be the line thickness of the clothes folds. I know in one for your recent pics you said how it killed your fine tip pen, but if you have one now, I would recommened trying to use that to add variety (to make some folds appear more intense (if that's the right word)). I know its a pain in the neck with pens though.
Edit - Well I see looking back up that you did pretty well on the upper part of the characters with the folds. Its the near the bottom on Avila's dress and on Kaz's pants that I was referring to.
