Do you ever smile? by gaypurpledinosaur Do you ever smile? by gaypurpledinosaur
This is Ben, he was the first person to ever show up in multiple dreams of mine, having aged at the same rate as regular people. I first saw him when I was still in elementary school, then again in junior high a few years later (his hair had gotten longer, but he still had the same freckly face I remembered from years before), and then he showed up far more frequently in high school.

I still look forward to his visits. He's pretty serious most of the time, and can be kinda grumpy, but he's also really nice if you give him time.

I went through an old binder of mine the other day, and found like 40 pictures of him from high school that I never really shared with anyone. I don't draw him nearly as frequently anymore.

Anyways, this is drawn on a cue card and isn't all that good.

I don't have characters from dreams, I'm jealous lol.  I don't know why, but I always love drawing the girls who are grumpy/serious most of the time.

Seeing these drawings reminded me of those little artist trading cards for some reason.  If I was a RL friend of yours, I'd totally wanna trade them with you.

I have quite a few from dreams, some of which I become while dreaming and then I actually have very long coherent dreams that I remember in full detail after.

Most of my main characters lately are serious grumps because I enjoy drawing their expressions, and bothering them with certain events. I tried to change it up a bit with the newest story by making my serious character (Kaz) into the main side character, and making Tavizon the main character, who's far more friendly and easy going....but I wind up drawing Kaz way more because I love that grumpy little face.

Come trade cards with meeeee...I have a small collection happening now.

I think the most I've gotten is outfit ideas :X but that sounds really neat.  I mostly have surreal dreams that just invovle people I know.  One of my most recent wtf ones was seeing my uncle wrestling a giant stuffed bear in a field lol.

Yes, its really fun to force characters into sour moods haha.  Even my happy characters end up getting drawn a lot with angry faces.

I wish I could!  I tired several times to get my brother to do it with me, but he isn't interested (except that one digital card art trade we did).

The best part of that sentence is that it was a giant STUFFED bear...because it implies that the bear wasn't wrestling back, and that he had absolutely no reason to be wrestling with it in the first place.

Angry faces are just too fun to draw.

Kick him until he complies.
